Freezing. You have about three blankets to throw over your horse at night, and in the morning when you go out for a quick ride, a heavy jacket is a huge must. Although some days are nice and warm , that is quite rare, and is not seen very often. Leaves are burying the ground at the moment, and with every step you make a small crunching sound is usually heard. Hey, think of it this way, it'll only get colder in the Winter.

After reading the rules you can create you very own character. Please be sure to read the rules and follow the form. It makes it a whole lot easier on us if we can easily read your form. Please keep in mind to not make your form sick or gory, we try to keep that at a minimum here at VA. Also please make sure to use the right form for each character, along with checking the banned list. Also remember the minimum word count for each character, any lacking word count and your character could easily be rejected. When your character is rejected we will be sure to include the reasons why you character has been rejected to allow you to fix your mistakes.

[ ]».Character Logs
Keeping track of your characters is fairly important to some. Along with adding smaller stats, information, thoughts, manips, and even emotions. Others can post on each others log, giving emotions that each character feels towards each other to become apart of that characters plot, as long as it is alright with that characters owner. You can also describe your character a bit better here.

[ ]».Adoptions
Are you leaving? Or have a character you no longer want to role play? Well you can give away your character here, adopting out your character the form will still have full copyrights to you, but after adoption your character out you will no longer be able to receive him or her back. So choose wisely when adopting out characters. When adopting a character it means you have to add pull copyrights on the bottom of each post saying "The character ____ is copyright to the original creater of ____." So nobody has to go worrying that they don't have the copyrights to their character. You can also find the horses for lease here.

[ ]».Genetic Testings
Have you recently bred your horse? If so both dam [mother], and sire [father] must fill out the form giving the genetics of each horse. After you fill out the forms a staff member will come and determine the stats of the foal. Be aware anything can happen to your foal, just like in the real world. But the chances of loosing your foal, or even having a genetic default are very slim. As long as you are careful of your breedings, not breeding genetically defaulted horses, will lead to less genetic defaults in your foal.

After pulling along the long drive and enrolling into Vincent Academy your finally able to meet your perfect match. Your horse is here awaiting in this very barn, which you will soon move to the main stable. A long corridor of stalls await inside the big red barn. Stench of manure and hay fill your nostrils as you step into the barn. And sun streaks stream in from the open windows. Two entrances stand, at the north side, and the south side, horses whinny as you step onto the cool cement floor, as if saying pick me, pick me.

The main stable is a lot nicer than the arrival barn, this stable has 250 stalls. To long columns stretch both on the right and left side. A large indoor arena sets stage in the center of the barn. 125 stalls are held on each side of the arena. A small about 5 foot wide aisle that gives access to the horses food, and water. Along with keeping a tack box, and grooming box in this isle. Along with odds and ends that students choose to keep there. Two small doors open up at each side of the stable, and two large doors open up to reveal the arena.

The cement here always seems to be wet, as a metal fence sticks about 5 feet out of the ground. Several hose remain wrapped around the poles, while three bronze drains sit equally spaced out in the cement. Small clumps of dirt that hadn't washed away stick to the cement, not planning on moving any day soon. Four Yellow facets sit atop the metal fence, allowing four horses to be washed at the same time. The wash-rack sits at the southern end of the main barn for quick easy access after riding.

A small white house stands in the center between the dorms and the main stable. Couches lounge about the inside, surrounded by red, white, and gold decorative wallpaper covering the walls surrounding the comporting place. The interior decorations seem to flow quite well with everything, making the room feel intensely warm. Several book shelves full of every imaginable horse book stocks the wall. While a microwave, and mini fridge sit in the corner of the room. Pictures of horses hang upon the wall, followed by a large trophy case and ribbons. A wooden stair case leads to a small trophy room displaying pictures of previous years, and the trophies the academy has won.

At Vincent Academy there are three paddocks. Each paddock contains freshly watered green grass, small hay racks in the center of the flourishing field, and large water buckets, with the providing shade of large oak trees. There is the mares and geldings, the stallions, are homing your horse in it's paddock please make sure you place them in the right paddock being we do not want any harm to the horses. Or an oops breedings. There is also a small sign in front of each paddock stating which paddock you place yourself in front of. Please read them carefully and place your horse in the right paddock.

A large sign sits at the beginning of each trail showing the main trail along with the trails that branch off. Many lines cross across the dark wooden board. Including blue lines and splotches showing water sources. Warning those who have no experience with cross water. Here at Vincent Academy we have many different trails to offer. Before you choose a trail that you want to ride please read the manual to the trail. Some trails are more advanced than others and if you are not experienced enough you can get hurt. With also the aspect always ride with a buddy, being as you never know what could happen to you, or your horse. Don't say we didn't warn you!

[ ]».The Pasture
[image]

The pasture is a place where you can put your horse, and just let them graze and take a break from all the work they have to do here at VA. The pasture is ten acres of rolling long green grass of varying lengths. A small stream cross through the far end of the paddock, while of the opposite far end of the paddock there is a forest that is fenced off. Some have tried to jump over it but it only ends in a trip to the vet. If your horse likes getting into trouble I would keep a careful eye on them. The rolling hills that rise and fall like the sea seem to go on for miles to the eye, only some choose to venture off further into the pasture instead of staying within sight of the stable.

The crowd cheers as you trot your horse into the ring. You gaze out across the crowd and spot your family who you haven't seen in it seems like years. Two arenas hold shows and Vincent Academy, the indoor arena, which can be found in the main barn. This arena is only used during the winter months, when the outdoor ring is to slick to host shows in. This ring is made up of a soft dirt that kicks up easily. Stands sit tall on each side in the indoor ring. The outdoor ring is confined in a pure white shimmering fence that stands at about five feet, the average fence heigth for any fence at Vincent Academy. Large stands tower over the ring on all the sides. But for the southern side where the entrence can be found.

A small two story yellow hose sits up on top of the hill over looking Vincent Academy, tall trees surround the small house. A long dirt drive needs to be driven, ridden, or walked to reach the peak of the hill, most find it to time consuming to walk with natures best. Inside the yellow house the walls are painted a neutral brown, gray color, and each staff has decorated their room to their pleasure. Four bathrooms, a small kitchen that is combined with a dining room, and a living room with a large plasma screen TV all seem to manage into this house.

The small vet clinic sits snugly next to the care classes buildings. A small square like white building holding a red cross on the front door. Walking inside the door a small bell rings and often the prescription sits and often looks up, noting that your here and offering you to sign in. A small barn sits out back holding shelves of utensils, medicines, and other odds and ends of bottles. Three smalls tables stand in the back building for those horses that need long extensive care. There are two main vets, Dr. Flitch, who has been with Vincent Academy since the grand opening, and Mrs. Prutt, who is a newer trainee, that is following Flitch's actions and work, hoping some day to be a main vet.

A small three stall stable stands out in the back of a far pasture. The retired horses and Vincent house at this stable and pasture. Being seniors at Vincent, and growing up at the academy their the proper models for the care class. Those new enrolled students all must take this class after first arrival and receiving their horse. This class shows their daily schedules, the classes you were assigned, and your daily schedule. Your introduced to all of the proper grooming brushes, and everybody receives a map of Vincent Academy, including allowing them to pick which dorm they would like to house in after getting to read and learn about each dorm, along with meeting some of the room mates.

Loud clashes of dishes echo in your ear as you wait in line for your food. There are four long tables, one for each dorm. At the front of the cafeteria is the staff table, often each day at breakfast, lunch, and dinner the staff review what each new thing they will be focusing on for that day. At the front eastern end of the building is the food line, students from each dorm voluntarily grab the large dishes of food for their table. Laughter of students also echo in the cafeteria. Often this is the prime time for socialization between students, and between different dorms.

The library is off near the care classes building and the vet clinic. Off out of the way. Many students come here to study up on exams for horse study, or just nestle down in a good book in their free time. Much less of a hang out, being a small one story beigh building, holding on all four walls, plus the individual aisles of books on fantasy horse stories, information horse text, realistic fiction horse stories, any type of genera. As long as it revolves around horses you can find it in this library. Two large couches, and 4 big comfy chairs offer seating here while reading.

.Vincent Class Arenas.
[ ]».Three Day Eventing
[image]

Two large arenas are held here, the first arena is a large rectangle with a two foot high white glistening fence. This ring would be the dressage arena, the dressage arena is made of a thin, powdery dirt that has spread thoroughly across the arena. The second arena is made of 5 foot high, white fencing, giving off a fancy professional look. This arena seems to always be made up of a maze of jumps, twisting this way and that. Only the smartest of riders can easily complete a full course. There is also a very challenging cross country trail, breaking away on the outside of the dressage arena. This trial is for those who have passed their level test, and are capable of completing the course without fail.

The large forest that inhabits Vincent Academy holds many twisting trails for hunter and cross country riders. The sun streams across these dirt trails that only leave the evidence of hoof marks in the soft ground. Other wise many would see this trail and a hiking trail. There are six trails, three cross country, all ranging from different levels. Than three hunter trails, that mainly run though the open fields and pastures. Many times the courses cut through the center of Vincent Academy, making the riders, and pedestrians having to be wary of where their walking.

A large arena closed in my a five foot brown wooden fence is what basically makes up the English arena. A small run in barn stands on the outside of the gates, for those who's horses need a quick break from the baking sun. A soft fine dirt, similar to the dressage arena sits nestled into the ground. This fairly large arena is a square shape, with a small tack room sitting near the run in stable, this small building holds a little window and several important saddles, bridles, and helmets. The ring is set very close to the Hunter and Cross country trails, making it faintly able to hear their daily discussions.

This very large arena is surrounded by fields of flowing hills, that's about it, the stable and dorms are a long ways off, almost unable to be seen with out having an eagle eye. But often you can hears the cheers and shouts from the nearer by rodeo stadium. The rodeo stadium isn't too far off to the right. The western arena is made up of a thicker dirt, and silver metal fencing. There is a barn containing cows, calf's, sheep, and goats. For roping, and herding proposes. There is also a large area in the barn holding tack, and other important western equipment. This arena also has picnic tables surrounding around it in the green grass for unknown reasons.

Two arenas sit in here, one is surrounded by a bleachers stadium, where barrel races are held and are practiced. Along with another rodeo ring where poles can be practiced and other rodeo sports. These rings are made up of a very thick dirt. Making sure its packed hard, since a simple slip any horse can easily loose its footing causing a long trip to the local vets. 5.5 foot tall metal fences close in on the two rings, making it tall enough to keep every thing, and anything out. These arenas are set in the middle of a field far out from the main part of the academy, making it a fairly long journey by foot or horse back here. Unless you have access to cars.

One large oval track sits plop in the center of Vincent Academy. The loose dark dirt is kicked up and whirled into a dust storm as the horses gallop on by. A white 3 foot rail stands on the inside of the track, creating a boundary between the track and the small circle inside the track. On the outside a tall wooden fence is posted, following all the way around the track, with a big gate allowing those to leave and go as they wish after racing. Bleachers sit at the final stretch allowing races to be held against different dorms. Or even different academy's. A large paddock, a small stable sit at the east end of the track, allowing races to be held, and guest to leave their horses out at the paddocks, and in the stables.

Those who ride for the enjoyment can usually be found in the Pleasure ring, which a large 3 acre field of rolling hills, small ponds, and wooded areas. The arena is made up of long grass, and often this ring is used for warm-ups and exercising. Many times these are other trails for those lower level riders and horses. This ring is for practice and gaining experience only, being as it increases stamina, endurance, and speed. Exercising all three stats, and allowing your horse to become better and better. Giving you more and more experience. A few rivers can be founded crossing through the wooded area, which in fact is very hilly, creating good strength exercises for your horse. The open field area contains a few small ponds and large rolling hills topped with long green grass. One trail through the wood leads atop a hill overlooking the whole academy, the surrounding woods, and the near by great lake.

The walls of this dorm are full of vivid ribbons and trophies, being as these Students top the monthly competitions all year long. This Dorm is ruled by the snotty, think their all that students. Which to be true, a lot of the students are topped ranked students at the academy. These students look down upon others, and commonly find ways to point out every mistake other riders make, being they think they know everything about riding. These students commonly are disliked and the only others they get along with are their stubborn horses and snotty roomies.

This dorm is for those who enjoy riding all together and could careless about the number or trophies they win. These students are all about having fun and enjoying the riding time. These students are also big pranksters, they love pulling pranks of Mesa Hoof and the other students homing and Vincent Academy. These students also don't always put their full effort into their riding, being as these are 'I just want to have fun' students. Often leading to trouble for them.

Pictures of horses, and past students light up the walls. Perfect reflections of the glory that was seen by the walls of this dorm. A summer scent hangs in the air while horse sheets, shirts, bags, and things of that sort clutter the rooms, and polish the floors. These students are the ones most down to earth and connected with their horses. Many of the Mesa Hoof members refer to them as the horse whisperers being as they appear so connected and understanding of their horses as well as their horses being understanding with them. These students also always try their hardest, and ask their horses for their best instead of pushing them to their limit.

Few ribbons decorate the wall. While pictures of horses are fairly absent, pictures of beloved pets and family members sit on night stands. Very few things in this dorm show signs of horse lovers and its quite obvious that many of these students regret coming here. The students here are the ones who attend the Academy to make their parents proud. They don't care about winning, they don't care about riding like they used to at a younger age they are just attending because their parents wanted them to. And because their parents were trying their hardest to get them into the Academy. The students try their hardest to keep going and do their best, even how much Mesa hoof puts them down.

As you step into the store, old hard wood floors rest under your feet. The scent of pine wafts under your nose as you continue through the store. The many shelves are cluttered full of items, the store is fairly unorganized but still makes enough money to keep it open for the past decades. You can find just about everything in the general store, from horse tack, to boxes of Cheez-itz and cans of Dr. Pepper. Even for how small this store is its fairly easy to get lost in the stacks of shelves, and piles of items that randomly sit around the store. There are many stores in the outdoor shopping center, mainly made up of clothing stores for the fashionable of Vincent Academy. There is also a western store, containing your appeal of riding clothing and some tack items. Its all great to buy presents here for those birthdays and just a gifts to dear friends. The coffee you can purchase might be highly priced but its way worth the price since its probably the best coffee within miles. Not saying this coffee is disgusting, I'm just saying that this is the only coffee house close enough to Vincent.
